Take Your Soccer Skills to the Next Level.
The competitive program is for the player who wants to move up from the recreational level. This program is intended for the player who has aspirations of playing soccer in high school, possibly college and beyond. Our competitive teams start as early as U9 and goes up to U19. Often called travel, all practices and half of our games are played at home with the opportunity to travel to other club sites to play the other half of scheduled games.
Tryouts are scheduled once a year for team placement. Tryouts for the 2018/19 fall and spring seasons will be announced soon and will occur at the Dewey O’Boster Fields in Deltona. Keep in mind, our club’s philosophy is to place players on an appropriate level team, as we do not leave players behind! For more information on the tryouts, contact either the travel registrar listed at the bottom of this page. Players interested in playing on a team for the Spring 2018 season, which begins February 19th should contact the travel registrar.
Our competitive program has several levels of play depending on experience and skill of our players, within the leagues we participate. Most of our teams play in the Greater Central Florida Youth Soccer League – GCFYL (www.gcfsoccer.com). This league is affiliated with Florida Youth Soccer Association – FYSA (www.fysa.com), which our club is a member, along with other clubs in the state. This league has several levels ranging from what is termed recreational level, consisting of Division 4, our beginning competitive level, and Division 3, which is a more advanced level. From the recreational levels, players can advance to even higher level teams that play up to State Cup level. The GCFYL Teams will play 10 games in the Fall and 8 games in the Spring season (half the games are home and half the games are away). High School aged players will play 8 games in the Fall and 8 games in the Spring. Spring 2018 schedules are TBD.
Teams also have the opportunity to play in soccer tournaments throughout the 2017/18 season. Tournament schedules for each of our teams are determined in consultation with the assigned coaches. Costs for tournaments are in addition to the registration and coaching fees, and are worked out with the coaches at the beginning of the 2017/18 seasons. Players new to joining the competitive program for the Spring 2018 should consult with their coaches for tournament information.
There are also opportunities for play at even higher levels with the Florida State Premier League, such as with the Girls U18/U19 Elite Girls, which is run by FYSA, or Region B Premier, which is run by GCFYL. Our club is also a member of U.S. Club Soccer (www.usclubsoccer.org), which provides even more opportunities for tournament or advanced league play.
