Our Senior Academy program is designed for players 7 to 11 years old and focuses on the technical skills and tactical knowledge necessary to compete in game situations. Just like our Junior Academy program, we maintain the fun aspect of the game so the players continue to share our love of the world’s most popular game. Come play on the best fields in Central Florida!
After playing in the Senior Academy program, players can then move onto the Competitive program level, if that is their ambition. When the opportunity arises, Senior Academy players may be able to practice and even dual with some of our travel teams while they are participating in the Senior Academy program.
At Deltona Youth Soccer Club, we understand the critical part we take in the development of the youth of our community in addition to developing your player’s understanding and appreciation of the game. This includes developing important life skills such as good sportsmanship and teamwork.
Registration for the Senior Academy, Spring 2024 will open January 1st, with the first practice on February 20, 2024.The Spring 2024 season runs for 8 weeks (7 games), with make-up sessions scheduled for rain outs. Sessions will consist of practices on Mondays and Wednesdays, both from 6PM to 7:30PM. Games will be held on Friday evenings. No Saturday games! The first game is scheduled for March, 2024. Games will be officiated by licensed referees. Rain outs/make-up games to be announced. The team assignments and game schedules will be provided to parents and players during the first two weeks of practices and posted on this website.
Players must have their own size 4 soccer balls and will need shin guards and soccer cleats for practice and games!
Volunteers are encouraged to help with the coaching. Please let our Registrar know if you are interested in volunteering. Volunteers will receive a partial refund for completing their volunteering, along with a free coach’s jersey.
*Background check, SafeSport certification, CDC Head’s Up certification REQUIRED (covered by DYSC).
SENIOR ACADEMY
Uniforms are required for NEW players uniforms are and include 1 blue jersey, 1 yellow jersey, 1 black short, 1 pair black socks.
